Secret Hamper interview on BBC Essex FM
We were delighted to be invited to be interviewed on the Ronnie Barbour show on BBC Essex FM ahead of Small Business Saturday.
Small Business Saturday is a tradition that started over in the USA to celebrate small business across the country. This day is celebrated each year on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.
It was great to meet Ronnie, Victoria and Adam. Ronnie asked questions on how we came up with the concept of Secret Hamper. We also talked about the pros and cons of starting a business and Ronnie asked us to sum up Secret Hamper in his best Alan Sugar impersonation! We shared our vision for the company along with our experiences so far. We also advised that anyone thinking about starting their own business, or who recently has, should look at their local councils to see what support they can offer. We were fortunate to be chosen by Essex County Council to be placed on the Essex Innovation Programme where we receive monthly mentoring from marketing expert Sarah Brockwell of Sarah Bee Marketing. We look forward to speaking to Ronnie again in the not too distant future.
