It was a great honour and privilege to be invited to the finale of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Many Hands Campaign.

The finale took place that the Midland Hotel in the heart of Manchester. The Many Hands campaign spearheaded by Ex Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis saw 27 businesses come up with innovative fundraising ideas to reach the £50,000 target to purchase a mini arm X-Ray machine for the children’s operating theatre.

We were the only ‘southern’ company to participate and the main criteria was for northern firms, but seeing as though we had past dealings with Theo we thought it was only right to offer our help.

For our idea to raise the £1000 target we came up with the same idea we used for our Farleigh campaign. We posted on the #SBS (Small Business Sunday) Facebook group that we had 20 spaces on our van that could be sponsored for £50 with all proceeds going to RMCH #ManyHands appeal. In return the businesses that sponsored a space would have their logo’s displayed on the Hampervan for an entire year!

It was great to see how some of the other companies raised money and some really went the extra mile and got out of their comfort zone, so well done you.

We managed to catch up with Theo on the night and he liked our Essex hamper too!
