Farleigh Hospice £50 Challenge awards
Secret Hamper last night celebrated winning the Top Fundraiser Award for the 2016 Farleigh Hospice £50 Challenge.
Back in June we combined our launch and UK tour by embracing the Farleigh Fundraiser. Secret Hamper Founder, Nigel Richardson, took about approaching local businesses and asked them to donate £50 in order to have their company logo added to the side of the Secret Hamper company van. With the van then heading off on a four month UK Tour, the businesses that participated received lots of media coverage and advertising as the Secret Hamper Superheroes created quite a stir delivering hampers to those in need across the country.
In total 74 local businesses donated to Farleigh Hospice, for their space on the van, raising a huge £4,300.
The prestigious awards event was held at Hylands House, Chelmsford. In attendance was The Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Patricia Hughes, along with Peter Allen from Birkett Long LLP, the Farleigh £50 Challenge sponsors.
Nigel Richardson, Founder of Secret Hamper says: “With the company’s ethos being to care and share, embracing the £50 Farleigh Challenge was an easy decision. Having lost my own father to cancer I felt that this was an ideal opportunity to give something back to the people that do so much to support our loved ones in times of need. On meeting Debbie De Boltz, Farleigh’s Fundraising Manager, back in March, her passion for the cause was contagious and I felt we had to be involved.”
