Secret Hamper recieves #SBS winner certificate from Theo Paphitis
Back in August 2016 we entered a twitter competition run by ex-Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis called #SBS (Small Business Sunday). We were one of the lucky 6 weekly winners chosen by Theo to receive a business boost with him retweeting our business to his 500k followers. Along with this there were benefits of joining an online community to network with other winners, take advantage of Shop#SBS an online selling platform and receive some fantastic business services discounts. On top of all of that Theo hosts an annual #SBS winners event at the ICC in Birmingham, which this year took place on the 3rd February.
This year we heard from Theo and the guys behind Ryan, Robert Dyas, 123Reg, iLaw, DHL, and Red Letter Days. There was also a great speech from a fellow #SBS winner Jodine Boothy, founder of the Gummee Glove. Jodine inspired the audience with her rollercoaster ride story of how she has turned the Gummee Glove into a million pound international business. We are proud to be collaborating with Jodine and Gummee Glove and we will soon have the option to add the product to our New Baby range.
During the course of the day there were networking opportunities with other #SBS winners along with workshops on P and SEO, plus the opportunity to meet the experts, representatives from Ryman, Robert Dyas, Red Letter Days, iLaw, 123Reg and DHL.
We then had Question Time which was hosted by Theo, with special guest, former Dragon’s Den star Deborah Meaden and John Mills, founder of JML products. The panel had an array of questions to answer and some fantastic and valuable advice.
Finally at the end of an eventful day, new #SBS winners since the last seminar in 2016 were invited to meet Theo and receive their winners certificate.
