Yesterday we made our 3rd NHS70 delivery of 70 hampers sponsored by businesses and individuals from across the Midlands and beyond to say Thank You to the staff working at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
We teamed up with miracle boy Noah Wall once again as he travelled all the way down from Cumbria with his mum Shelly and nana to help us hand out the hampers to the grateful staff.
Like before, it was a truly humbling experience, meeting so many real life heroes who help create magic and save lives on a daily basis. The staff were touched by the show of appreciation from businesses and individuals, there were smiles everywhere!
One of the sponsors, Noah (Nurul) Islam of Eat It 4 Free and The New Masala Merchant came along with some of his colleagues to help distribute the hampers too. The atmosphere was buzzing and we’re so grateful for all the other businesses and individuals that sponsored hampers to enable this delivery to happen.
We chatted to lots of staff from all different areas of the hospital and each and everyone love the work that they do. We also spoke to the hospital charity team who told us that combined the hospital treats over 200,000 children a year via inpatients and outpatients, a incredible figure I’m sure you’d agree. Even more reason to thank these unsung heroes.
We have plenty more hospitals on our list, including Children’s hospitals in Manchester, Liverpool, Cambridge and London which Noah hopes to join us in delivering to once again.
